Jacques S. Zaneveld served as a Biology professor from 1959-1975 at the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary which later became Old Dominion University. He began the study of oceanography at Old Dominion University in the early 1960's. Dr. Zaneveld was instrumental in the founding of separate nursing and biology departments.
